Re: <t>Does the Niro EV come with a spare tire?</t>

No, but it's better than the U.S. version of the Chevrolet Bolt EV, which I owned, in that sealant and pump comes with it, which it doesn't with the Bolt EV. On this forum, people have said that the Niro spare tire kit fits it.

Re: Should I get extended warranty on Kia Niro EV?

I bought one for my 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV for the same reasons you bought one. I wasted my money, as the dealer adamantly claimed that there was nothing wrong with the car that had to be towed in because it couldn't be driven. It was still under the manufacturer's warranty. There are two reasons I ...

Re: Bolt EV vs Kia Niro EV - help with decision please!

I was mistaken. The Niro EV does not have a garage door opener. Why would somethings that costs $15 not be offered, even as an option on a $40+K car?

Re: Bolt EV vs Kia Niro EV - help with decision please!

Some more comments after a few more days of use: The Kia adaptive cruise control is immensely better than the Bolt EV (non-adaptive) cruise control. The Niro EV regenerative braking is better. It is stronger. There is a stop sign on a hill near my home. I could never stop the Bolt EV there using onl...

Re: Bolt EV vs Kia Niro EV - help with decision please!

I just got home with my new Niro EV, having driven it 550 miles from the dealer to my house. I am very pleased with it. The only feature the Bolt EV had that I wish the Niro EV had is a birdseye camera view, but that's not a major thing on a small car. The NIRO EV has plenty of features I like that ...

Re: Bolt EV vs Kia Niro EV - help with decision please!

When I wrote my previous post, I forgot something. The Bolt EV did not have a garage door opener; the Niro EV does. It always puzzled me the GM left features off the Bolt that would have cost almost nothing to include. I bought a standalone garage door opener for about $15 to put in the car. Surely,...

Urgently Need Info on Efficiency vs. Speed in Cold Weather

I have bought a 2019 Kia Niro EV Premium from a dealer in another state approximately 500 miles from my home, and I plan to pick it up Monday, Jan 20, 2020, and drive it home. The forecast temperatures average 45 deg F. What are the "mileages" (miles/KWH) that I can expect at various speed...

Re: Bolt EV vs Kia Niro EV - help with decision please!

I owned a 2017 Bolt EV for a year and a half. I'm picking up my new 2019 Kia Niro EV EX Premium in three days. I have read most of the owners' manual. My Bolt EV had an issue, dying and having to be towed in, that I believe was due to a defect in the individual car, not a design defect. Initially wh...
